Update MEDIUM production

A problem we saw was that thee elastics, when applied, go around the bended edge so if the toolbox stands on the ground, the elastics can get damaged.
So we made the edges shorter so the elastics can pass by easily.

A next problem was the sharp edge in- en outside the hole in the metal that could damage the elastics.
So we added eyelets that fits in the holes of the panel, but have a bigger outer diameter that the diameter of the ronded shape of the corner.

- Buy the ball --> can be very cheap, negotiation with companies for like the half of the price
- Compare PP, PC and ABS. Make the decision of making a quality product or a cheap one --> ALEX
- Compare the price of massproduction for injection molding and sheetmetal --> ALEX
-  Lasercut --> not the fablab! Use a professional company

Medium production: how to finish the edges?
- Round/tubular edge: nope
- Extra edge like it is now:  Can be smaller, but is possible
- Manual deburring: nope
- Add-on: pvc profile like you have on saw to cover the teeth
Search for a plastic component
Site where we can find maybe some plugs to put in the holes http://www.essentracomponents.com

Mass prod:
- double folded handle: ok
- ABS ok? (tough, wear resistant) --> CES!!!!
- we have 3 mass produced pieces that each can be discussed

CAD drawings 2D
tollerances important? general tollerance in title, specific tollerances in the drawing

Do we need to make a intructable on the site itself or just that kind of manual in the report? Just in the report

Anti-slip coating medium: SuperGrip, regular aerosol can, powder coating. You can search for the normal price if you buy them as DIY'er and use that price in the report. But because you work in excel, you can take account with a discount and calculate easely the material cost again. Maybe we can look what's the content of the powder coating and search for the same material, but than in spray pistols.

Prices:
mass production prices: protomold --> slides! the site gives you a first idea of the prices for injection molds
prijs DIY: in excel! material, houres that machine is used, first a general estimation and than more in detail. Question every aspect and find the cheapest solution by using excel.
man-houres: +/- how long you work on the the montage of the product if you have the intructables. In the excel, you will put a price/hour. If you make it, it can be 1€, if a professional does it, it can be 50€, but this is easely changed in the excel. It is also imporant to make the instructables efficiĆ«nt so the man-hours can be reduced.
